I’m Ray Rough, a hair stylist, keeping up with trends is most important to me, updating my methods of cutting and colour giving my clients what they expect to see. I have worked my passage through Cruise Ships to Show Work in Vegas, Mexico,Thailand, UK and also Bermuda, where I had my own daily afternoon show ‘Aquarius’. My experience in show work includes record covers, shows at Wembley Arena, photo shoots, magazine adverts for British Gas in which I took part and also styled the other models too. I was the hairdresser in ‘From George to Julie’ the very first program in UK TV about Transgender, a sympathetic series about one man’s transition to female. Today I have a busy salon in Newport, Isle of Wight called O’Hanlon & Ray. You may know me from ‘Rough Cut’ then i also ran seven salons in London. I’m happy to say I have cut down my work load now, and offer my experience to all at Basecuts where many of my clients have faithfully followed me, and offer my services to great new clients every day.
